Overview
You will own the Android application architecture for a Banking client, shipping AI-powered features in a regulated Fintech environment. You will work on-site in Columbus, Ohio, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new capabilities. This role demands end-to-end ownership from design to production, with a strong emphasis on performance and quality. You will debug and resolve bottlenecks in a high-stakes enterprise setting, where your work directly impacts millions of transactions.
What You'll Do5
- 1Design and build advanced Android applications for the Banking platform, owning features from concept to rollout.
- 2Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, integrating AI models into the mobile experience.
- 3Ship performance-critical updates, ensuring responsiveness and quality across the app.
- 4Identify and correct bottlenecks in the codebase, reducing crash rates and improving user satisfaction.
- 5Drive end-to-end ownership of the app lifecycle in a regulated enterprise environment, adhering to strict compliance standards.
Requirements5
- 15+ years of hands-on Android development, with a strong portfolio of shipped apps in Fintech or Banking.
- 23+ years experience integrating AI features such as ML Kit or TensorFlow Lite into mobile apps.
- 3Deep knowledge of Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK components like Compose and Coroutines.
- 4Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and offline storage solutions like Room.
- 5Proven ability to work on-site in Columbus, OH for a contract role, with all 5 days per week required.
