What You'll Do10
- 1Design and build scalable data models and pipelines using dbt to transform raw data into clean assets that power company-wide analytics and decision-making.
- 2Define and implement a robust semantic layer that standardizes business metrics and ensures self-serve capabilities for stakeholders.
- 3Partner with Product GTM Finance and Exec Teams to deliver intuitive dashboards and analytical tools.
- 4Establish data modeling standards and best practices for accuracy performance and maintainability.
- 5Own product event tracking strategy including naming conventions and documentation standards.
- 6Empower stakeholders with discoverable and reliable analytical assets.
- 7Define structure taxonomy governance and modeling patterns for product event data.
- 8Collaborate with Product Managers and engineers to design tracking plans for new product surfaces.
- 9Model high-volume semi-structured product event data including JSON payloads and behavioral metrics.
- 10Integrate with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel Segment and Amplitude.
Requirements10
- 15+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering Data Engineering Data Science or similar field.
- 2Deep expertise in SQL dbt Python Snowflake.
- 3Experience with modern BI tools like Looker Omni or similar.
- 4Strong familiarity with version control CI/CD and modern development workflows.
- 5Bias for action preferring usable iterative data models over perfect solutions.
- 6Skilled communicator comfortable working through ambiguity in fast-moving environments.
- 7Experience modeling high-volume semi-structured product event data.
- 8Knowledge of AI and LLMs.
- 9Early employee at a hyper-growth startup.
