Own the monthly financial reporting process for a corporate accounting function at scale. What You'll Do10
- 1Lead the financial reporting team to prepare and analyze monthly statements and ensure timely, accurate reporting
- 2Manage GAAP compliance, journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, and cost allocations across the organization
- 3Oversee system testing for patches and upgrades and ensure effective data integrity
- 4Coach and supervise staff, conduct performance reviews, and ensure coverage for critical tasks
- 5Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports for Accounting and Division Executive Management
- 6Provide Senior level technical accounting guidance and interpret organizational policies and goals
- 7Collaborate with General Ledger and AP subledger teams to ensure robust financial processes
- 8Support year end audits and assist in financial statement preparation and disclosures
- 9Develop and implement workflows to improve efficiency and control environments
- 10Engage in strategic planning for the department and contribute to the business plan
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 28+ years of accounting experience
- 3Strong public accounting background, ideally Big 4
- 4CPA strongly preferred
- 5Experience in financial reporting and team leadership
- 6Experience in engineering, construction, or similar industries preferred
- 7Proven ability to manage month end processes and GAAP close
- 8Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- 9Onsite, contract role in Kansas City, MO
- 10Excellent communication and advisory skills
