Semi Truck Mechanic - Volvo & Freightliner Repair
Overview
You will own the diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of Volvo and Freightliner semi trucks at our Romeoville, IL shop. You will join a team of 4 mechanics and report to the shop lead, working Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. What You'll Do6
- 1Diagnose and repair engine, brake, suspension, and electrical systems on Volvo and Freightliner semis.
- 2Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure all trucks are road-ready.
- 3Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and hands-on testing.
- 4Document all service and repair records accurately in our shop management system.
- 5Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
- 6Collaborate with the team to prioritize urgent repairs and minimize downtime.
Requirements6
- 11+ year of experience repairing semi trucks, with hands-on knowledge of Volvo and Freightliner systems.
- 2Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for engine, brake, suspension, and electrical systems.
- 3Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures for heavy-duty trucks.
- 4Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- 5Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented attitude.
- 6Valid driver's license and ability to commute to Romeoville, IL.
