Overview
You will own the maintenance and repair of a modern fleet of 500+ semi-trucks, ensuring every unit meets DOT standards and runs at peak performance. You will work with Diesel Engines, Brake Systems, and Trailer Axle Components, using diagnostic tools to identify issues before they become breakdowns. What You'll Do7
- 1Perform routine maintenance on semi-trucks, including DOT inspections, brake replacement, shock replacement, and slack adjuster adjustments.
- 2Inspect trucks thoroughly to identify potential issues and address them before they lead to roadside failures.
- 3Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems using diagnostic tools and schematics.
- 4Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed, following company documentation standards.
- 5Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, including proper use of lifts, jacks, and personal protective equipment.
- 6Collaborate with other mechanics and drivers to complete tasks efficiently and communicate repair status clearly.
- 7Manage time effectively during shift hours 4:00pm – 2:00am to handle scheduled maintenance and unexpected breakdowns.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of semi-truck repair experience (preferred).
- 2Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks, including engine, brake, and electrical systems.
- 3Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- 4Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- 5Certification from a recognized technical school or vocational program is a plus.
- 6Willingness to work 2nd shift (Monday – Friday, 4:00pm – 2:00am) and rotating Saturdays.
- 7Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
