Security Specialist, DoD Information Security & Training
Overview
Own the design and delivery of information security programs and training for a Pentagon HQDA G-3/5/7 contract scale. Lead classification, declassification, and security education initiatives across multiple disciplines. Develop SCGs and SOPs to standardize security practices annually. Collaborate with directorates and government managers to publish procedures and ensure compliance with DoD policies. This role stands out through hands-on training, policy development lifecycle experience, and direct support to Army headquarters.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and deliver information security training across Information Security, OPSEC, Personnel Security, and AT/FP to reduce risk
- 2Design and prepare Security Classification Guides and SOPs and ensure annual updates prior to OCA signatures
- 3Lead in person security briefings for new personnel and tailored security training across G-3/5/7
- 4Ship and maintain security materials for education and awareness programs and deliver final SOPs in hard copy and electronic formats
- 5Drive security program reviews, including declassification efforts, staff visits, and secure room assessments
- 6Collaborate with government stakeholders to develop publish and maintain security procedures and documents
- 7Support policy development lifecycle and produce security analyses and executive summaries
- 8Assist with drafting Army EXORDs, FRAGOs, meeting minutes and strategic documents
- 9Coordinate with Physical Security and DoD regulations to ensure facilities and access controls meet policy requirements
- 10Perform reviews of documents for public release and support security inspections and program assessments
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree required
- 2Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing Information Security Programs for safeguarding classified information
- 3Active Top Secret clearance w/ SCI eligibility
- 4Experience with DoD/Army security programs and HQ level stakeholders
- 5Proficiency with MS Office suite and enterprise software tools such as SharePoint and ETMS2
