What You'll Do5
- 1Provide customer service to residents visitors staff and service providers by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities at a shelter location
- 2Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas exterior grounds entrances parking areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns
- 3Monitor access points and visitor activity verify authorization as directed and report unusual conditions
- 4Document patrols incidents and security-related observations accurately in required reports and logs
- 5Maintain visibility and deterrence while responding to concerns with integrity and professionalism
Requirements11
- 1Possess a New York State Security Guard License
- 2Have at least one year of security-related experience
- 3Be at least 21 years old
- 4Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred
- 5CPR and First Aid certification is preferred
- 6Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles
- 7High school diploma or equivalent
- 8Background investigation will be conducted
- 9Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law
- 10Licensing requirements subject to state and local laws
- 11Valid driver’s license required for driving positions
