Overview
You will patrol assigned areas and enforce safety standards at AdventHealth's Highlands Ranch campus, a full-service medical facility in Denver. You will respond to emergencies, de-escalate conflicts, and document incidents using CCTV and Access Control systems. This night-shift role works with medical staff to ensure a secure environment. You will train on emergency management and use TASER and pepper spray certifications to handle critical situations.
What You'll Do9
- 1Patrol hospital buildings and grounds, checking doors and verifying identification to prevent unauthorized access.
- 2Respond to emergency, non-emergency, and alarm calls, including fire alarms and drills, using CCTV and Access Control systems.
- 3De-escalate disputes between patients, visitors, or staff using verbal techniques to prevent violence.
- 4Administer first aid as trained during medical emergencies.
- 5Investigate suspicious activity or persons and report hazards, incidents, and criminal activities in written and electronic reports.
- 6Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic at hospital entrances and parking areas.
- 7Interview individuals involved in suspicious or illegal activities and document findings for leadership.
- 8Identify recurring security issues and collaborate with the Security Management team to develop and implement solutions.
- 9Use Windows, Word, and Excel to maintain incident logs and shift reports.
Requirements10
- 11+ years of related security experience.
- 2High School Graduate or equivalent.
- 3Valid Driver's License.
- 4Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- 5Handcuffing certification or equivalent preferred.
- 6Pepper Spray certification or equivalent preferred.
- 7Baton certification or equivalent preferred.
- 8TASER certification preferred.
- 9Ability to pass departmental mental and physical testing.
- 10Knowledge of Access Control and CCTV systems preferred.
