What You'll Do8
- 1Patrol designated areas on foot or in a vehicle to detect security concerns or safety hazards.
- 2Sound alarms and call police or fire departments during fires or unauthorized presence.
- 3Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
- 4Control entrances and exits, permitting only authorized persons to enter and monitoring movement.
- 5Observe departing personnel to prevent theft of company property and verify authorized removals.
- 6Investigate accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, preparing detailed written reports.
- 7Aid customers, employees, and visitors courteously while maintaining professional composure.
- 8Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders, ensuring rapid response to critical events.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience in a related field.
- 2Valid driver's license if operating company or customer-owned vehicles.
- 3Pass a background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
- 4No prior security experience required; 18 years minimum age (21 for armed roles).
- 5Operate radio and telephone equipment and monitor console screens effectively.
- 6Interact cordially with the public, demonstrating active listening and clear communication.
- 7Assess situations quickly, identify critical issues, and mediate conflicts with diplomacy.
- 8Write reports that are informative, clear, and accurately capture incident details.
