What You'll Do8
- 1Patrol designated areas on foot or in a vehicle, watching for irregular conditions or safety hazards.
- 2Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire, unauthorized persons, or other emergencies.
- 3Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
- 4Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
- 5Observe departing personnel to prevent theft of company property, ensuring authorized removal follows client requirements.
- 6Investigate accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; prepare reports and maintain written logs as required by the post.
- 7Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- 8Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
Requirements10
- 11 year of verifiable security experience or a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 2Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws, possibly required prior to employment.
- 3Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
- 4Pass background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law.
- 518 years of age or higher if required by state (21 years if armed).
- 6Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
- 7Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
- 8Effective oral and written communication skills; write informatively, clearly, and accurately.
- 9Active listening and problem-solving skills; assess and evaluate situations effectively.
- 10Mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy; attention to detail.
