Overview
Armed Guard Dallas provides protective services for Federal sites in Dallas. This part-time position offers up to 30 hours weekly. Candidates must have relevant security experience and clearances.
What You'll Do15
- 1Train and qualify for multiple posts during call-offs or vacations
- 2Conduct patrols of buildings and grounds to detect safety hazards
- 3Inspect doors windows and gates for security integrity
- 4Set thermostatic controls to maintain environmental conditions
- 5Record inspection times at designated watch stations
- 6Identify property damage and unusual occurrences for supervisory review
- 7Report fire hazards leaking pipes and unlocked doors
- 8Enforce rules regarding loitering smoking and prohibited items
- 9Manage vehicle and pedestrian traffic at facility entrances
- 10Operate radio-equipped vehicles to monitor client premises
- 11Sound alarms or contact emergency services for fire or intruders
- 12Assist management during emergencies and apprehend unauthorized persons
- 13File investigation and vehicle usage reports
- 14Provide First Aid as needed
- 15Maintain qualifications including Federal clearance preference
Requirements11
- 1Age 21 years or older with high school diploma or GED
- 2Valid armed security license for applicable jurisdiction
- 3Current driver’s license for required state
- 4US citizenship
- 5Physical ability to stand walk sit and lift up to 25 pounds
- 6Strong English communication skills
- 7Pass 10-panel drug test and medical examination
- 8Background check without felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
- 9Associate degree in related field or 3 years security experience plus 1 year
- 10Completed POST certification or equivalent training agreement
- 11Ability to work all scheduled shifts and respond to short-notice call-outs
