What You'll Do15
- 1Train and qualify personnel for multiple posts during call-offs or vacations
- 2Conduct regular patrols of federal facilities and public areas to identify hazards
- 3Inspect doors windows and gates to verify security integrity
- 4Set thermostatic controls to maintain environmental conditions
- 5Record inspection trips at designated watch stations
- 6Document property damage unusual occurrences and equipment malfunctions
- 7Report fire hazards loitering and security door violations
- 8Warn violators and apprehend suspicious individuals
- 9Notify staff about questionable reputation individuals
- 10Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at plant entrances
- 11Operate radio equipped vehicle to monitor client premises
- 12Sound alarms or contact emergency services for fire or unauthorized persons
- 13Assist management during emergencies and handle armed apprehensions
- 14File investigation and vehicle usage reports
- 15Provide First Aid as needed
Requirements12
- 121 years old or older
- 2High School Diploma or GED
- 3Valid Armed Security License for relevant jurisdiction
- 4Current driver’s license for required state
- 5US citizenship
- 6Physical ability to stand walk sit talk and hear
- 7Ability to lift 25 pounds
- 8Strong English communication skills
- 9Background check complex with no felony convictions
- 10Experience meeting one of defined criteria including 3 years armed security within 5 years associate degree plus 1 year security or military service POST certification or 1-3 years combination approved by contracting officer
- 11Availability for all scheduled shifts and short notice
- 12Vision requirements include close distance depth perception and color discrimination
