Overview
Woodmere Art Museum seeks a Security and Museum Operations Associate to maintain safety and support operations. This part-time role requires Saturday and Sunday availability. The position focuses on security duties and museum operations assistance.
What You'll Do12
- 1Patrol galleries buildings and grounds
- 2Enforce museum policies and procedures courteously
- 3Monitor visitors artwork and museum property
- 4Respond to emergencies and security incidents
- 5Open secure and close museum facilities
- 6Monitor alarm systems and report safety concerns
- 7Assist with emergency evacuations and incident documentation
- 8Welcome visitors and support accessibility needs
- 9Perform front desk tasks admissions membership provide wayfinding and information about exhibitions and programs
- 10Assist with event setup breakdown and operational support
- 11Maintain appearance and readiness of public spaces
- 12Support operational projects and special events
Requirements8
- 1Experience in security hospitality retail customer service or public-facing environments
- 2Conflict resolution de-escalation techniques or crisis response preference
- 3Strong interpersonal communication skills professional courteous interactions
- 4Ability to learn and use POS systems CRM software security technology
- 5Dependent punctual flexible schedule weekends evenings holidays special events
- 6Ability to stand walk patrol museum buildings grounds move up to 25 pounds
- 7Appreciation for art museums exceptional visitor experiences plus CPR First Aid AED certification
