What You'll Do7
- 1Conduct novel research on AI algorithm vulnerabilities and defensive mechanisms
- 2Identify emerging AI technologies and translate findings into actionable insights
- 3Lead interdisciplinary teams to develop prototypes for government sponsors
- 4Design and apply practical solutions to real-world adversarial challenges
- 5Mentor junior staff and share expertise across the SEI AI Division
- 6Develop research strategies that align with national security objectives
- 7Collaborate with software developers and technical leads to bridge theory and practice
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 10 years experience OR MS with 8 years OR PhD with 5 years
- 2Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning principles
- 3Proven ability to conduct original research and publish findings
- 4Experience leading research projects with limited prior work
- 5Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- 6Ability to write funding proposals and pitch new research initiatives
- 7Willingness to obtain and maintain a Department of War security clearance
- 8Onsite availability in Arlington VA and Pittsburgh PA with 25% travel allowance
- 9Five-year minimum experience in relevant technical domains
- 10Commitment to mentoring and guiding team members
