What You'll Do11
- 1Transport students safely adhering to traffic regulations and school policies
- 2Conduct pre-trip inspections of tires brakes wipers lights oil fuel water and safety equipment
- 3Report vehicle malfunctions and schedule necessary repairs
- 4Maintain accurate records including passenger counts trip counts hours worked and mileage
- 5Regulate climate control systems to ensure passenger comfort
- 6Keep vehicle interiors clean and organized for all passengers
- 7Follow written and verbal directions using maps for navigation
- 8Communicate delays accidents or traffic incidents via phone or radio
- 9Obtain School Bus Permit endorsement through company assistance
- 10Hold Class D driver’s license with school bus permit
- 11Demonstrate excellent communication judgment and time management skills
Requirements7
- 15+ years experience driving school buses or similar vehicles
- 2High school diploma or equivalent
- 3School Bus Permit endorsement required
- 4Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- 5Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities

- 7Proficient in monitoring and managing passenger needs
