What You'll Do9
- 1Teach in clinical skills and simulation laboratory nursing settings including prebriefing and debriefing using competency-based rubrics
- 2Supervise students in direct patient care within hospital environments aligning experiences with competency outcomes
- 3Provide real-time observation and coaching to ensure safe effective clinical practice
- 4Collaborate with clinical partners to strengthen academic-practice relationships
- 5Evaluate student performance using standardized tools and narrative feedback
- 6Participate in curriculum development and simulation scenario refinement
- 7Serve on committees and mentor students through service-related activities
- 8Engage in faculty practice plan clinical activities
- 9Lead preclinical instruction and transition students toward licensure readiness
Requirements6
- 1Masters degree in nursing from an accredited program
- 2Current RN license from Kansas State Board of Nursing
- 3Three years of clinical practice experience
- 4Certification in simulation (CHSE) or nursing education (CNE)
- 5Prior teaching experience in lab and clinical environments
- 6Demonstrated ability to lead preclinical instruction and clinical training
