School Age Childcare Assistant, Before & After School
Overview
Minimum 18 years old with a passion for working with children to support safe, engaging, structured activities after school. You will join a mission-driven team delivering the Healthy Kids Curriculum across STEAM, fitness, art, and homework support for ages 5–12. This role is onsite at Minadeo Elementary School in Pittsburgh and offers part-time hours aligned to the school calendar.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build engaging after school experiences through STEAM and fitness activities and supervise homework completion.
- 2Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment by modeling positive behavior and ensuring child well being.
- 3Observe state guidelines and Healthy Kids Program policies and school host policies.
- 4Support program operations including attendance, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
- 5Collaborate with teammates and communicate effectively with families to ensure a trusted program experience.
Requirements7
- 118 years of age or older
- 2High School Diploma or equivalent
- 32+ years of experience working with children under 13
- 4Must pass full background check including fingerprinting and references
- 5Medically fit to perform job duties including a clear TB test
- 6Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- 7Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs
