Overview

Doyle Early Childhood Center seeks a School Adjustment Counselor to support student academic learning through social-emotional services. The counselor will collaborate with students families and staff to promote positive adjustment and development.

What You'll Do12

  • 1Identify and assess academic behavioral and social-emotional concerns through analysis of home school and community factors
  • 2Develop and implement measurable goals addressing student social-emotional needs
  • 3Provide individual and group therapeutic counseling to students
  • 4Assist students in modifying interfering behaviors and develop coping strategies
  • 5Support teachers with strategies for classroom-based social-emotional concerns
  • 6Collaborate with school staff and district personnel to promote student learning
  • 7Conduct crisis intervention and provide classroom meetings psychoeducational groups and presentations
  • 8Participate in school-based teams to create interventions for academic behavioral and social-emotional success
  • 9Consult with staff to enhance student participation and success
  • 10Serve as liaison between families and school to foster collaborative partnerships
  • 11Consult with community agencies and refer families to appropriate resources
  • 12Maintain comprehensive records ensure confidentiality and complete IEP documentation

Requirements7

  • 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
  • 2Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • 3Demonstrated experience supporting young children with social-emotional needs
  • 4Confidentiality handling sensitive student information professionally
  • 5Positive ambassador for Doyle Early Childhood Center and Wakefield Public Schools
  • 6Outstanding teamwork abilities
  • 7Commitment to student social-emotional growth
