Overview
You will lead the design and implementation of SAP VC and AVC solutions across complex manufacturing environments. You will own the full product configuration lifecycle, from requirements analysis through go-live, for a major HCL America client in Fremont, CA. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex product rules into scalable configurable models. This contract role demands deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA variant configuration and a track record of successful deployments.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design SAP VC and AVC solutions for complex product portfolios, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- 2Configure product models, dependencies, and constraints in SAP S/4HANA to support accurate sales and manufacturing configurations.
- 3Lead workshops with business users to gather configuration requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- 4Integrate SAP VC with MRP, PP/DS, and Sales modules to ensure seamless order-to-delivery processes.
- 5Drive performance tuning of configuration logic for high-volume product variants.
- 6Debug and resolve configuration-related issues, providing root cause analysis and sustainable fixes.
- 7Own the technical documentation for all configuration objects, ensuring maintainability and knowledge transfer.
- 8Collaborate with HCL America and client teams to deliver on-site implementation milestones.
- 9Provide go-live support and post-implementation enhancements for SAP VC processes.
Requirements8
- 18+ years in SAP VC and AVC implementation, with at least 3+ years on SAP S/4HANA.
- 25+ years in discrete manufacturing with deep knowledge of variant configuration business processes.
- 34+ years configuring product models, BOMs, routings, and dependencies in SAP VC.
- 43+ years using SAP PP/DS and MRP integration with variant configuration.
- 52+ years working with SAP Fiori apps for configuration and material master.
- 63+ years in ABAP debugging for configuration exits and BAdIs.
- 71+ years in SAP C/4HANA or SAP CPQ solutions is a plus.
- 84+ years in SAP AVC (Advanced Variant Configuration).
