Salon Director in Training, Retail Management
Overview
You will own salon operations and team performance at a Sun Tan City location, driving revenue and client satisfaction. You will manage Tanning Consultants, set goals, and coach the team in a fast-paced retail environment. This role reports to the Salon Director and prepares you for full management responsibilities. You will gain hands-on experience with Microsoft Office tools and leadership skills while earning up to $21.00/hr with bonuses.
What You'll Do8
- 1Monitor daily salon operations to meet productivity goals and ensure a clean, professional environment.
- 2Lead by example, creating a client-centric experience and meeting personal sales expectations.
- 3Set clear goals for team members and track progress toward objectives.
- 4Coach and train Tanning Consultants to improve daily performance and service quality.
- 5Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director duties.
- 6Control top line revenue and expenses with the Salon Director to maximize profitability.
- 7Maintain proper staffing levels to balance productivity and labor costs.
- 8Work nights and weekends as required, following a 5-day workweek schedule.
Requirements9
- 1Management and/or sales experience required.
- 2Beauty industry and/or customer service experience preferred.
- 3Basic computer skills: ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 4Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple situations.
- 5Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
- 6Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
- 7Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor.
- 8Team building skills and ability to prioritize and delegate.
- 9Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lift heavy boxes, and perform cleaning duties.
Salary Insight
$35 - $44k per year
