Overview

You will lead the modernization and rewrite of Ohio's Child Licensing and Quality System (OCLQS) for a government client. This role owns the full project lifecycle, from planning through post-launch support, for a statewide platform that impacts providers, stakeholders, and families. You'll work with IT, product owners, licensing specialists, and external vendors, driving strategic direction with Salesforce implementations. This contract position, based onsite in Columbus, OH, offers the chance to improve public services through technology.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Lead the end-to-end rewrite of OCLQS, including planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
  • 2Drive strategic oversight for system modernization using Salesforce components and integrations.
  • 3Partner with IT, product owners, licensing specialists, SUTQ program staff, and QA teams throughout the project.
  • 4Oversee project plans, budgets, schedules, risk logs, and communication deliverables.
  • 5Facilitate stakeholder input from licensing staff, child care providers, and technical teams.
  • 6Ensure compliance with state policies, data security standards, and federal reporting requirements.
  • 7Champion user-centered design and continuous improvement to reduce administrative burden.
  • 8Deliver clear executive reporting to department leadership and oversight bodies.

Requirements8

  • 17+ years managing large-scale technology projects, system modernizations, or enterprise software implementations.
  • 27 years working with Salesforce projects, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or custom applications.
  • 37 years with CRM platforms, workflow automation, case management solutions, and system integration best practices.
  • 47 years with state government systems, human services, licensing programs, or quality rating systems.
  • 5Bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration, public administration, or related field.
  • 6Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • 7Strong understanding of project management methodologies and SDLC processes.
  • 8PMP certification highly desired.
