What You'll Do8
- 1Engage customers on the sales floor and via phone to understand their flooring needs, recommend products, and close sales using Lowe's systems.
- 2Serve as the department liaison for flooring projects, providing estimates, coordinating installer visits, and tracking orders to completion.
- 3Monitor inventory levels for flooring products, order stock, and coordinate with vendors to meet customer demand.
- 4Support checkout functions and handle customer calls, pages, and service requests in the Flooring department.
- 5Train new associates on Lowe's sales processes and product knowledge through on-the-job coaching.
- 6Perform price reviews and maintain accurate pricing documentation for flooring items.
- 7Drive additional sales by promoting Lowe's installation, delivery, and credit financing services.
- 8Maintain a clean and safe sales floor, assisting with merchandising and product displays.
Requirements9
- 11+ year in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales if no diploma).
- 21 year selling in a metrics-driven environment with required sales goals.
- 3High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
- 4Able to read, write, and perform basic math (addition, subtraction).
- 5Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift 25 lbs unassisted.
- 6Willingness to obtain sales licensure if required by state law, with Lowe's covering the cost.
- 71 year completing customer sales orders for flooring or related products.
- 81 year promoting services like installation, delivery, financing, or protection plans.
- 92 years using 20/20 or CAD to design custom products (preferred).
