Sales Floor Assistant, Retail & Customer Service
Overview
You'll own the sales floor at JCPenney's Tamarack Village, driving customer service and profitable sales growth. You'll lead associates, manage merchandise standards, and execute sales programs. This role mixes hands-on customer engagement with inventory and visual execution. You'll be the go-to for RFID scans, restocks, and SET processes, ensuring a clean, organized store.
What You'll Do9
- 1Model outstanding customer service and hold the team accountable, resolving issues by listening actively and partnering for support.
- 2Collaborate with the Merchandise Supervisor on placement plans, then contribute to receipt and reverse logistics processes.
- 3Execute inventory processes including cycle counts, system uploads, stock ledger, and RFID scans, and support annual inventories.
- 4Drive the shoe restock process, managing mismates and stockroom organization, and identify replenishment opportunities.
- 5Implement SET processes by planning floor moves, placing graphics, and executing visual detailing to boost sell-through.
- 6Oversee fitting room and sales floor recovery to maintain a clean, organized environment and support visual standards.
- 7Support jcp.com processes including orders, aged returns, BOPIS, and ship-from-store as needed.
- 8Contribute to MTO, RTV, RTW, and DMTO activities, ensuring integrity and preventing shrink.
- 9Meet performance standards for sales, service, profit, productivity, and attendance while supporting shrink and safety initiatives.
Requirements9
- 11+ year experience in retail or customer service, with a track record of meeting sales goals.
- 2Proven ability to lead and engage associates, modeling WORTH behaviors consistently.
- 3Hands-on experience with inventory processes, including RFID scans and stock ledger maintenance.
- 4Working knowledge of SET processes, visual merchandising, and floor moves.
- 5Familiarity with omnichannel processes like BOPIS and ship-from-store.
- 6Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make smart decisions that drive results.
- 7Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 8Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- 9High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
