Route Settlement Clerk Cash Reconciliation Specialist
Overview
Detail-oriented clerk supports daily route accounting cash reconciliation driver settlements and administrative operations in a fast-paced distribution setting. Ensures driver paperwork accuracy maintains cash controls resolves settlement discrepancies and supports route accounting functions.
What You'll Do22
- 1Research and resolve driver overages and shortages involving cash products and delivery loads
- 2Review and verify end-of-day driver paperwork
- 3Run daily route status reports to ensure proper settlement
- 4Communicate settlement discrepancies to Route Accounting Department
- 5Monitor and process Check-In/Check-Out messages
- 6Verify proof of delivery documentation including DSD and store stamps
- 7Perform cashiering duties and ensure deposits are Fed-Ready
- 8Maintain security and accountability of route cash
- 9Validate proper use of cash drop procedures
- 10Receive and verify full-service bag counts
- 11Count full-service cash and finalize handheld transactions
- 12Prepare and organize driver paperwork for imaging and record retention
- 13Maintain driver compliance logs including DOT and DVR documentation
- 14Maintain cash reconciliation records and driver deposit logs
- 15Review settlement exception reports and resolve discrepancies
- 16Prepare deposits for armored car pickup
- 17Troubleshoot handheld device issues affecting route settlements
- 18Partner with warehouse inventory personnel to resolve reconciliation issues
- 19Conduct driver audits according to internal control requirements
- 20Research mailed payments and code transactions in Payment Manager
- 21Maintain and track missing document logs
- 22Follow all safety policies procedures and PPE requirements
Requirements12
- 1High School Diploma or GED required
- 2Some college coursework preferred
- 32-5 years of experience in an automated office environment
- 4Route accounting system experience preferred
- 5Cash room or cash-handling experience preferred
- 6Basic computer and database application skills
- 7Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- 8Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- 9Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
- 10Physical requirement sitting approximately 80% of workday
- 11Frequent bending walking and kneeling ability
- 12Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
