Robotics Teacher for K-12 Afterschool Programs
Overview
You will independently lead afterschool Computer Science and Robotics classes for K-8 students using the First Lego League 2026-2027 curriculum. The program balances non-competitive and competitive tracks to meet each age group's needs. You will own your classroom, design new lessons with our AI Native lesson generators, and support students with diverse learning needs. With structured onboarding and direct access to leadership, you gain real teaching experience while building student confidence and capability.
What You'll Do6
- 1Lead afterschool robotics classes for K-8 students, following the First Lego League 2026-2027 calendar for both non-competitive and competitive tracks.
- 2Design new robotics lessons using AI Native lesson generators and adapt them for different learning styles.
- 3Support students with learning differences using positive reinforcement strategies to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
- 4Maintain a safe and high-energy learning environment by managing classroom setup, materials, and inventory.
- 5Communicate student progress to parents and caregivers as directed, ensuring consistent updates.
- 6Attend team check-ins and required BBX training sessions to align with program standards.
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Education, STEM, or related field preferred.
- 2Prior experience in educational settings, such as tutoring centers, STEM camps, learning academies, or afterschool programs.
- 3Understanding of neurodiversity and how to support students with varied learning needs.
- 4Comfortable managing a classroom independently with strong communication skills for students, parents, and teammates.
- 5Familiarity with FLL, FTC, or robotics competitions is a strong plus.
- 6Hands-on chemistry or biology project experience is a plus.
