Revenue Specialist I, Medical Insurance & Patient Accounts
Overview
You will own revenue cycle duties for DaVita dialysis clinics, processing patient insurance, collecting balances, and resolving credits. You will work with insurance payers and clinic teams to keep accounts accurate. This role sits in a supportive, community-focused environment with flexible scheduling and pay-for-performance. What You'll Do8
- 1Process patient insurance information during intake, collecting payments and resolving overpayments and refunds with insurance payers.
- 2Communicate with insurance payers to confirm coverage for patients and ensure timely reimbursement for dialysis services.
- 3Respond to payer communications promptly and precisely.
- 4Collaborate with revenue operations teams to keep workflows seamless.
- 5Partner with clinic teammates like Insurance Counselors, social workers, and facility administrators to maintain accurate insurance data.
- 6Identify process improvements and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- 7Update patient account information consistently and keep all data confidential per HIPAA and DaVita policies.
- 8Work overtime as needed and attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training sessions.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 3Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills for unique patient accounts and payer rules.
- 4Strong communication and interpersonal skills for payer and teammate interactions.
- 5Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and demonstrate resiliency.
