Retail Store Manager, Charlotte NC | PUMA
Overview
You will own the full P&L for PUMA's Charlotte retail location, driving sales, KPIs, and profitability at a flagship store. You will lead a team of 10-15 associates, own recruitment, training, and succession planning, and execute marketing initiatives to build community presence. This role demands a hands-on operator who thrives on the retail floor, coaching in the moment and modeling PUMA's Brand Values. You'll make a measurable impact on customer experience, shrink, and inventory accuracy while developing future leaders.
What You'll Do10
- 1Drive sales and KPIs by coaching the team on customer service standards and PUMA's Brand Values.
- 2Own recruitment, training, and development to build a high-performing team.
- 3Control payroll and create service-driven schedules that maximize profitability.
- 4Manage loss prevention programs to hit shrink goals and maintain inventory accuracy.
- 5Execute marketing events and visual merchandising to keep the store fresh and engaging.
- 6Lead performance reviews and talent management conversations to develop future leaders.
- 7Ensure compliance with all policies, safety standards, and operational core competencies.
- 8Oversee merchandise flow, including receiving, processing, and stocking.
- 9Maintain POS access rights and resolve system issues promptly.
- 10Attend off-site training and support new store openings as needed.
Requirements6
- 12-4 years of management experience in a customer service-oriented retail environment, preferably apparel or footwear.
- 2Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and handling complex inventory issues.
- 3Demonstrated ability to build and develop strong teams.
- 4Effective communication skills for presenting to large groups.
- 5Computer skills with basic MS Office proficiency.
- 6Ability to walk and move for extended periods, lift/carry up to 30 pounds regularly, and use close vision and depth perception.
