Overview
As a Restoration Technician at Big Bear Restoration, you will own mitigation and emergency restoration projects for water, fire, mold, and biohazard damage in residential and commercial sites across Dallas. You will deploy IICRC-certified techniques and operate HEPA filters, air movers, and dehumidifiers to dry structures and prevent secondary damage. Working under the Lead Technician, you will handle demolition, cleaning, containment setup, and precise moisture documentation. What You'll Do8
- 1Execute water, fire, mold, and biohazard mitigation jobs from start to finish, including setting up air movers, dehumidifiers, and HEPA filters.
- 2Perform demolition, cleaning, and site preparation tasks to prepare affected areas for restoration.
- 3Set up containment barriers and apply proper PPE to ensure safe work zones in wet, dusty, or confined spaces.
- 4Take moisture readings with moisture meters and log findings accurately in field apps or job logs.
- 5Load and unload tools and materials, keeping job sites and company vehicles clean and organized.
- 6Communicate daily progress with team members, supervisors, and customers in a clear and respectful manner.
- 7Follow all safety procedures and company protocols to maintain a zero-incident work environment.
- 8Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency calls within the scheduled timeframe.
Requirements6
- 11+ year of experience in mitigation or restoration.
- 2WRT certification required, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- 3IICRC certifications such as ASD, AMRT, or FSRT are a plus.
- 4Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis.
- 5Comfortable working in challenging environments, including wet, dusty, or confined spaces.
- 6Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
