Restaurant Team Member, Front of House & Guest Service
Overview
You will own the guest experience at Hawaiian Style Grill, a family-owned fast-casual spot in Vancouver, WA. In the first 90 days, you will master the order flow, deliver plates with aloha, and keep the dining room spotless. You'll join a small team of 10-15, working weekend shifts that make you the face of our ohana. What You'll Do9
- 1Greet every guest with a smile and aloha within 30 seconds of entry.
- 2Take orders accurately at the counter or via POS, confirming special requests.
- 3Run food to tables in under 5 minutes, checking that each plate matches the ticket.
- 4Clear and reset tables, sweep floors, and restock napkins and utensils to keep the dining area welcoming.
- 5Communicate with kitchen staff to coordinate order timing and relay guest feedback.
- 6Handle cash and card payments, balancing the register at shift end.
- 7Answer guest questions about the menu, ingredients, and daily specials.
- 8Upsell combo meals and desserts to increase average ticket size by 10%.
- 9Assist with opening or closing duties, including wiping down counters and sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
Requirements7
- 1Washington State Food Worker Card (valid upon hire).
- 2Weekend availability required, including Saturday and Sunday shifts.
- 31+ year of customer service or food service experience preferred.
- 4Ability to stand for 6-8 hours and lift up to 25 lbs.
- 5Strong verbal communication skills to interact with guests and team.
- 6Reliable transportation to the Vancouver, WA location.
- 7Positive attitude and ability to stay calm during peak rush hours.
