Restaurant Manager Job in Carson, CA
Overview
You will own the daily operations of a high-volume family entertainment venue, leading a team of 20-50 staff to deliver exceptional guest service. You will manage budgets, schedules, and inventory while coaching and mentoring your team. This role reports to the General Manager and offers a clear path to grow within the company. You will be the go-to leader for safety, compliance, and employee development, ensuring every shift runs smoothly and profitably.
What You'll Do9
- 1Lead daily operations in a high-volume family entertainment venue, managing staff schedules, inventory, and budgets to hit sales and labor targets.
- 2Coach and mentor a team of up to 50 employees, conducting training on Serve Safe and food safety protocols to ensure compliance.
- 3Drive revenue by upselling party packages and group events, using POS reports to adjust staffing and menu offerings.
- 4Enforce safety and security procedures, responding to guest concerns and emergencies with calm, decisive action.
- 5Recruit, interview, and hire new team members, completing onboarding paperwork and certifications like Food Handler cards.
- 6Track and analyze P&L statements to control food and labor costs, cutting waste and boosting profits.
- 7Implement reward and recognition programs to boost employee morale and reduce turnover.
- 8Coordinate with department supervisors to maintain open communication and smooth shift transitions.
- 9Complete performance reviews and corrective action plans, documenting progress in compliance with company policy.
Requirements8
- 13+ years in restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume, fast-casual or family entertainment setting.
- 2Serve Safe certification and current CPR certification.
- 3Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
- 4High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5Proficiency with Excel and scheduling software for labor management.
- 6Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for 8-10 hours per shift.
- 7Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- 8Strong math skills for cash handling, discounts, and sales tax calculations.
