Overview
You will diagnose and repair residential garage doors across DFW, owning the full service cycle from inspection to completion. You'll work with springs, cables, tracks, rollers, openers, and safety systems on every job. You join a small, fast-growing team where homeowners are treated like family. This role starts part-time and moves to full-time with a company truck after six months. You'll earn $25/hr plus commission on upsells, with a fuel card and mileage reimbursement.
What You'll Do9
- 1Diagnose and repair residential garage doors, including springs, cables, tracks, rollers, openers, and safety systems.
- 2Run a full safety inspection on every door before repairs, checking balance, tension, alignment, and opener safety reversal.
- 3Walk homeowners through findings and options, presenting repair quotes and DoorCare service agreements when appropriate.
- 4Discuss financing options with customers and recommend DoorCare plans when they fit the customer's needs.
- 5Leave every job clean and documented, then follow up with a review request and ask for referrals.
- 6Use a tablet or phone to capture photos, notes, and signatures, ensuring accurate job records.
- 7Source and order replacement parts from local suppliers to complete repairs on the first visit.
- 8Communicate with dispatch to manage your route and schedule, confirming appointments with homeowners.
- 9Uphold company standards for safety and customer service, representing All Pro Door & Garage in every interaction.
Requirements8
- 11-2 years of hands-on experience in garage doors, HVAC, electrical, or general trades.
- 2Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- 3Comfortable talking to homeowners and explaining complex issues clearly.
- 4Able to lift 75+ lbs, work on ladders, and handle outdoor work in Texas heat and cold.
- 5Reliable and coachable, willing to learn our systems, scripts, and standards.
- 6Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- 7High school diploma or equivalent.
- 8Own basic hand tools (drill, impact driver, levels, etc.) for daily use.
