Overview
Maywood seeks a Compassionate Resident Engagement Director to Lead Programs that Enrich Lives. You Will Create Meaningful Activities that Promote Social Engagement Physical Wellness Cognitive Stimulation and Emotional Wellbeing. - 2Coordinate Daily Activities Community Outings Holiday Celebrations Entertainment and Special Events
- 3Develop Individualized Group Activities Accommodating Diverse Interests Abilities and Independence Levels
- 4Encourage Participation While Promoting Dignity Choice and Empowerment
- 5Assist Residents and Families with Social Service Needs Providing Support Resources Advocacy and Referrals
- 6Collaborate with Nursing Dietary Therapy and Other Departments to Develop Resident Centered Programming
- 7Coordinate Volunteers Entertainers and Community Partnerships to Enhance Programming
- 8Maintain Activity Calendars Attendance Records Assessments Supplies and Documentation
- 9Gather Feedback to Continually Improve Programming and Satisfaction
- 10Ensure Safe Inclusive Environment Following Policies and Regulations
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- 2Previous Experience Working with Older Adults in Supportive Living Assisted Living Senior Living Healthcare Social Services or Recreational Programming
- 3Strong Organizational Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- 4Ability to Work Independently While Collaborating Effectively
- 5Degree or Coursework in Recreation Therapy Social Work Human Services Gerontology or Related Field Preferred
- 6Knowledge of Dementia Friendly Person Centered Programming
- 7Experience Coordinating Community Partnerships Volunteers and Special Events
- 8Prior Experience in Resident Advocacy Social Services or Case Management
