Overview

As the Research Specialists Manager at Memorial Healthcare System, you will directly supervise Research Specialists in a designated specialty, owning clinical and administrative functions for research projects. You'll manage hiring, work product, and performance while collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure protocol continuity. This role requires a Registered Nurse (RN) license and blends clinical expertise with project management. What You'll Do8

  • 1Hire, supervise, and evaluate Research Specialists in the designated specialty, overseeing work product and performance management.
  • 2Select, educate, and monitor research project patients, documenting results in departmental information systems.
  • 3Communicate patient/study results to the research team on an ongoing basis to ensure protocol adherence.
  • 4Collaborate with healthcare providers to maintain continuity and efficacy of study protocols and patient care.
  • 5Design new study protocols and assist in procuring funding for research projects.
  • 6Prepare, submit, and manage compliance documentation at all stages of the research project.
  • 7Monitor the quality assurance process, participating in QA/QI initiatives to meet regulatory standards.
  • 8Drive compliance with applicable standards of care and regulatory requirements across the research team.

Requirements8

  • 13 years of nursing experience and 2 years of clinical research experience.
  • 2Accredited Program: Nursing (required).
  • 3RN License in the State of Florida (or compact multistate license).
  • 4BLS Certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • 5Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • 6Critical thinking skills and effective communication with minimal supervision.
  • 7Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • 8Foreign medical doctor degree or equivalent relevant clinical program acceptable.
