Overview
You will own a consistent outpatient caseload as a Remote Therapist at Talkiatry, a virtual mental health practice serving patients across Washington state. You will deliver 100% remote, evidence-based therapy to lower and moderate acuity populations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, and OCD. You'll work within a structured outpatient model with standard 60-minute sessions, supported by a full operational team handling scheduling, billing, and credentialing. This role offers predictable W-2 compensation, flexible scheduling, and clinical autonomy, with access to in-house psychiatrists for referrals. You will focus purely on patient care, free from administrative burdens, in a model built specifically for virtual care.
What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver 100% remote outpatient therapy sessions, including 60-minute intakes and follow-ups, to a defined caseload of patients.
- 2Manage a consistent outpatient caseload with clear, transparent goals for patient progress and documentation.
- 3Make independent treatment decisions using evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, MI, and DBT-informed care.
- 4Coordinate with in-house psychiatrists through a referral network to ensure integrated care for patients.
- 5Document patient encounters and maintain up-to-date clinical records in compliance with state regulations.
- 6Participate in ongoing clinical consultation and quality improvement initiatives within the team.
- 7Build therapeutic rapport with patients using strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
- 8Adapt treatment approaches to individual patient needs within a structured outpatient framework.
Requirements8
- 1Independently licensed therapist: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, or equivalent.
- 2Active, unrestricted license in Washington state; multi-state licensing support available if you hold two or more active licenses (except for CA, NY, and MA).
- 32+ years of independent clinical experience post-licensure.
- 4Comfort managing a consistent outpatient caseload with defined productivity expectations.
- 5Strong clinical judgment and independent decision-making in treatment planning.
- 6Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for patient interaction and documentation.
- 7Highly desired: experience in outpatient, community mental health, hospital, IOP, or other structured clinical settings.
- 8Highly desired: experience with structured, skills-based modalities including CBT, ACT, MI, or DBT-informed care.
