Reliability Engineer II, Microchip Microcontroller & Analog
Overview
Own reliability planning and testing for new Microchip products at scale within a global leader in semiconductors. You will collaborate with NPD teams to drive qualification activities and ensure on-time releases. You will learn die level reliability testing and qualification techniques across automotive, commercial, and aerospace/defense segments. This role blends hands-on lab work with teardown analysis and cross-functional mentorship, contributing to our Reliability strategies and earning growth through our culture of development.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build qualification plans with New Product Development teams to meet release dates
- 2Design and execute die level reliability testing
- 3Coordinate automotive, commercial and Aero/Defense qualification techniques
- 4Operate lab equipment and collect data to inform reliability decisions
- 5Collaborate in a team environment and communicate results clearly
- 6Support development of Reliability strategies and techniques
- 7Learn LabVIEW MATLAB and related software tools to improve test automation
- 8Assist in PCB hardware design reviews and schematic analysis
- 9Contribute to continuous improvement and data-driven decision making
- 10Assist with burn-in and environmental stress testing when needed
Requirements5
- 1BS or MS in Electrical/Computer or related field with 0-3 years experience
- 2Strong fundamentals in transistor level ICs and device physics
- 3Experience or ability to learn statistical methods and tools (e.g. JMP or Mathcad)
- 4Lab skills with test/measurement equipment such as oscilloscope and power supply are a plus
- 5Willingness to travel 10% or less
