Reliability Test Technician - Hardware Validation
Overview
As a Reliability Test Technician, you own the execution of reliability tests and validation procedures for cutting-edge hardware in Cascade Engineering Services' lab in Seattle. You'll operate environmental chambers and shakers, ensuring product resilience through HALT, HASS, and HAST protocols. Working hands-on with test fixtures and diagnostics, you bridge design intent and real-world performance. You'll collaborate closely with engineers to refine test methods and maintain the lab's operational readiness. This role offers direct exposure to enterprise hardware systems and a clear path for technical growth.
What You'll Do8
- 1Execute reliability test plans and validation procedures for hardware prototypes
- 2Set up and operate environmental test equipment including thermal chambers, shock, and vibration systems
- 3Assemble and disassemble test fixtures and hardware using standard tools
- 4Collect, document, and analyze test data, recording results in Excel and Word
- 5Maintain meticulous test documentation and logs for traceability
- 6Manage lab inventory, including test units, tools, and consumables
- 7Implement and follow safety protocols and lab operating procedures
- 8Coordinate with engineers to refine test parameters and resolve equipment issues
Requirements8
- 1Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 21+ year of hands-on experience in reliability or manufacturing test environments
- 3Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for documentation
- 4Working knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and electronic components
- 5Familiarity with reliability testing methods: HALT, HASS, HAST
- 6Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- 7Ability to lift and move test equipment and samples up to 50 lbs
- 8Onsite availability Monday–Friday during business hours
