Reinsurance Claims Analyst | AIG NY | Major Loss Reports
Overview
You will review Major Loss Reports for domestic and international losses, applying reinsurance treaty contracts to loss analysis. You'll build Excel workbooks for data analysis and respond to non-MLR reinsurance verifications. Your work supports AIG's reinsurance governance and SOX controls. What You'll Do7
- 1Review and approve Major Loss Reports for domestic and international losses.
- 2Apply reinsurance treaty contracts to loss analysis across various lines of business.
- 3Identify large losses and high-profile matters, and create Excel workbooks for data analysis.
- 4Respond to non-MLR reinsurance verification requests and other reinsurance queries.
- 5Investigate and flag discrepancies and account issues, monitoring financial impact of reinsurance coverage changes.
- 6Prioritize and collaborate with colleagues on projects and initiatives, supporting AIG Next and reinsurance governance including SOX controls.
- 7Provide recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of reinsurance or insurance experience in claims or accounting.
- 2Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- 3Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 4Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.
- 5Excellent organization and time management skills.
- 6Strong analytical skills to quickly identify, gather, and assess information.
- 7Preferred: Experience with Facultative, Captive, Quota Share, and Excess of Loss policies and treaties.
- 8Preferred: Knowledge of general accounting fundamentals and reinsurance concepts and contract language.
