Overview
You'll own nutrition care for women with hormonal and metabolic conditions, managing a caseload of patients through video visits on Allara's platform. You'll join a multidisciplinary team of APRNs and MDs, supporting conditions like PCOS, insulin resistance, and perimenopause. You'll use motivational interviewing to drive behavior change, backed by Allara's evidence-based protocols and educational materials. This role offers fully remote work, a flexible 1099 contract, and a mission to close gaps in women's healthcare.
What You'll Do8
- 1Analyze intake assessments, including medical history, dietary habits, and lab results, to plan nutrition interventions for women with conditions like PCOS and insulin resistance.
- 2Conduct video counseling sessions, educating patients on diet and lifestyle, and integrate movement, sleep, and stress guidance as needed.
- 3Apply motivational interviewing and behavior change techniques to support patient progress during follow-up visits.
- 4Collaborate with APRNs and MDs on medical management, sharing nutrition insights and adjusting care plans as a team.
- 5Document each patient encounter in EMR systems, maintaining accurate records and timely charting.
- 6Respond to patient inquiries and administrative tasks within 24 hours, using tools like Gmail and Google Calendar.
- 7Dedicate a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours per week, balancing clinical time with admin duties.
- 8Use Allara's provided training and educational materials to ensure consistent, high-quality care across your patient panel.
Requirements8
- 1Active Registered Dietitian certification from the CDR, with current state licensure in at least one U.S. state.
- 21+ year of experience treating women with complex hormonal or metabolic conditions, strongly desired.
- 3Proven ability to work autonomously, with strong diagnostic judgment and critical thinking in a virtual setting.
- 4Exceptional written and verbal communication, emphasizing compassion and clarity in patient interactions.
- 5Comfortable using EMR systems, Zoom, Gmail, Google Calendar, and scheduling tools.
- 6Prior telehealth experience is a plus, but not required.
- 7Commitment to evidence-based practice, staying current with clinical research.
- 8Ability to build trust and rapport with patients during video consultations.
