What You'll Do12
- 1Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and nutrition-focused physical exams to determine patient needs
- 2Develop and manage individualized nutrition care plans with measurable outcomes within 90 days
- 3Perform enteral and parenteral nutrition protocols and oral nutrition management standards
- 4Write nutrition care orders per state regulations and document in medical records
- 5Evaluate care plan effectiveness and communicate findings to interdisciplinary team members
- 6Provide nutrition education to patients families and staff using evidence-based materials
- 7Lead nutrition coverage areas and act as liaison with nursing staff
- 8Mentor new hires and supervise staff when assigned
- 9Participate in quality improvement initiatives and outcome studies
- 10Maintain current licensure and obtain required certifications such as CNSC and CDR
- 11Collaborate with peers to develop nutrition standards of practice and educational content
- 12Ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements and institutional policies
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Dietetics or equivalent degree holder
- 2Registered Dietitian credential obtained within six months of hire
- 3Master's degree preferred for eligibility
- 4Current Commission on Dietetic Registration credential verification
- 5Arizona fingerprint clearance and criminal history affidavit
- 6Effective independent communication and prioritization skills
- 7Proficiency in nutrition support protocols for both enteral and parenteral care
- 8Experience in nutrition education and staff mentorship
- 9Ability to work in behavioral health clinical settings serving pediatric populations
