Overview
You will perform routine cleanings, scaling, and root planing for a growing patient base in Orange, NJ. You will work alongside a supportive dentist and team, using QuickBooks for scheduling and records. You will own patient education and preventive therapies, including fluoride treatments and sealants, while fostering long-term oral health. What You'll Do6
- 1Perform routine dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing for a high-volume patient schedule
- 2Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal evaluations, and document findings in QuickBooks
- 3Take and review dental X-rays, ensuring accurate image capture and diagnostics
- 4Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
- 5Screen for oral cancer and gum disease, and apply sealants and fluoride treatments as needed
- 6Collaborate with the dentist to develop individualized treatment plans and adjust care based on patient response
Requirements7
- 1Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of New Jersey
- 2Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
- 3Current CPR/BLS certification
- 41+ years experience with dental practice management software such as QuickBooks or Dentrix
- 5Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive dental care
- 6Excellent chairside manner with the ability to put patients at ease
- 7Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
