Overview
Own dental hygiene care for a single-doctor general practice in Detroit, serving roughly 26 hours weekly. You will manage 1-hour prophy and SCRP appointments, using iTero and anesthesia certification to deliver precise, comfortable care. Work with a small, family-like team in a modern, low-pressure office. This role offers a 3.5-day workweek, with Mondays running 9a-7p, Tuesdays 8a-5p, and Wednesdays 8a-6p.
What You'll Do6
- 1Deliver prophy and SCRP treatments within dedicated 1-hour appointment slots, maintaining high clinical standards.
- 2Use iTero scanning for accurate digital impressions, reducing patient discomfort and improving treatment planning.
- 3Administer local anesthesia as needed, ensuring patient comfort during procedures, guided by your anesthesia certification.
- 4Document patient care in the practice management system, tracking periodontal health and treatment progress.
- 5Collaborate with the dentist and staff to tailor hygiene care to each patient's needs, supporting a cohesive team environment.
- 6Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care, reinforcing the practice's family-friendly approach.

- 1Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in Michigan
- 21+ years of clinical hygiene experience preferred
- 3Anesthesia certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- 4Experience with iTero scanning preferred
