Registered Dental Assistant, Periodontics in Dallas
Overview
You'll own chair-side clinical support for periodontists at a specialized dental practice in Dallas, serving 200+ patients monthly. You'll work alongside Dr. Stukalin and a collaborative team of 3-4 dental professionals, managing operatory flow and patient education. This role stands out for its Monday-Thursday schedule, offering a 4-day workweek and direct mentorship in periodontal procedures.
What You'll Do7
- 1Deliver chair-side clinical support to Dr. Stukalin, including instrument passing, charting, and patient education during periodontal treatments.
- 2Set up and break down operatories for implant and gum graft procedures, ensuring sterility and organization.
- 3Capture high-quality dental x-rays (panoramic, periapical, bitewing) using digital radiography software, ensuring diagnostic accuracy.
- 4Document treatment plans and patient histories in Eaglesoft dental software, maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate records.
- 5Sterilize instruments and equipment using autoclave and chemical disinfection protocols, tracking cycles for safety.
- 6Welcome and comfort patients, explaining periodontal procedures and oral hygiene post-care instructions.
- 7Enforce infection control guidelines, including OSHA standards and CDC recommendations, to ensure a safe environment.
Requirements6
- 11+ years of dental assisting experience in a clinical setting.
- 2Registered Dental Assistant certification with the state of Texas.
- 3High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4Proficiency in digital radiography and charting software.
- 5CPR certification (preferred).
- 6Availability for Monday-Thursday 7:20am-5:00pm.
