Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - ABA Therapy
Overview
As an RBT at A Gem of Joy ABA, you will deliver 1:1 ABA therapy to children with autism, implementing treatment plans written by a supervising BCBA. You will work with a caseload of up to 3 learners in home and community settings, supported by a collaborative team of behavior analysts and fellow technicians. This role focuses on play-based naturalistic teaching, with hours Monday-Friday 3:00-6:00 PM, empowering families and fostering meaningful outcomes.
What You'll Do7
- 1Deliver 1:1 direct therapy sessions implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans from the supervising BCBA.
- 2Embed learning objectives into play-based and naturalistic activities to maintain engagement and promote generalization.
- 3Record session data in real time using Microsoft 365 tools, ensuring accurate tracking of progress.
- 4Build rapport with learners and caregivers, maintaining professional communication and trust.
- 5Escalate clinical or family concerns promptly to the BCBA for timely intervention.
- 6Complete all session notes, timesheets, and caregiver signatures within 24 hours of each session.
- 7Collaborate with the care team during weekly check-ins to adjust strategies based on learner data.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of experience with individuals with autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities.
- 2Current active RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- 3High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or ABA preferred.
- 4Demonstrated ability to implement behavior analytic programs under BCBA supervision.
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication with families and team members.
- 6Receptiveness to feedback from supervisors and ability to adjust intervention tactics.
- 7Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) preferred.
- 8Willingness to work fixed hours Monday-Friday 3:00-6:00 PM (15 hours/week).
