Registered Behavior Technician, ABA Casework in Disability Services
Overview
Own delivering evidence-based behavioral interventions in a mission-driven organization serving individuals with disabilities in the DC area. You’ll implement ABA plans under BCBA supervision across home, community, and clinic settings and track progress with precise data collection. Collaborate with families and support teams to ensure consistent care while developing communication, social, and daily living skills. What You'll Do7
- 1Build 1:1 ABA sessions and implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
- 2Document and record accurate behavioral data during each session to monitor progress.
- 3Provide direct behavioral therapy in home, community, or clinic settings.
- 4Apply positive reinforcement strategies to reduce challenging behaviors.
- 5Support clients in developing communication, social, and daily living skills.
- 6Collaborate with supervisors, families, and support teams to ensure consistent care.
- 7Maintain detailed session notes in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Requirements7
- 1Active RBT certification required
- 2High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
- 3Prior experience with autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities favored
- 4Strong data collection, documentation, and organizational skills
- 5Compassionate, patient, adaptable with a client-centered approach
- 6Ability to pass a background check and meet state and organizational compliance requirements
- 7Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations in the LaPlata, MD area
