What You'll Do9
- 1Drive regional routes on a weekly cycle, covering 1,500-2,500 miles per week with home time every week.
- 2Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per FMCSA regulations, ensuring equipment readiness.
- 3Secure cargo using winches and dollies per customer specs, maintaining load integrity.
- 4Log hours of service via ELD systems, adhering to HOS rules and company policies.
- 5Communicate with dispatch on route changes, delays, and delivery windows.
- 6Hook and unhook 53-foot trailers, coupling and uncoupling safely at shippers and receivers.
- 7Manage paper logs as backup, keeping records accurate and current.
- 8Maintain a clean driving record, following DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- 9Handle physical tasks like lifting mud-flaps and dollies during inspections and loading.
Requirements10
- 1Hold a valid Class A CDL and current Medical Card.
- 2Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations that would disqualify a Class A CDL.
- 3MVR with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 5 years.
- 4Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and communication.
- 5Willingness to drive early morning, sunrise, afternoon, and evening shifts.
- 6Physical ability to move and lift heavy items like mud-flaps, dollies, and winches.
- 7Ability to hook up and connect 53-foot trailers to tractor.
- 8Conduct pre-trip (49 CFR 396.11) and post-trip (49 CFR 396.13) inspections per FMCSA.
- 9Log hours of service using ELD and paper logs when necessary.
- 10Pass background check and drug test (third-party verified).
