Receiving Inspector Aerospace Manufacturing
Overview
You will own receiving inspection for raw materials and outside service provider products at Precision Aerospace LLC, a Tier 1 aerospace manufacturer with 40+ years in Phoenix, AZ. You will verify conformance to specifications, manage supplier nonconformances, and support third-party lab testing. Working on a Monday-Friday 6:00 am-2:00 pm shift, you will collaborate with a team committed to quality and speed. What You'll Do8
- 1Inspect incoming raw materials and OSP products against specifications using visual and measurement tests.
- 2Review documentation such as certificates of conformance, test results, and process control records for compliance.
- 3Verify vendor purchase orders and customer requirements for accuracy and conformance.
- 4Prepare raw material coupons for validation testing at ISO 17025 accredited labs and evaluate results.
- 5Issue and manage closure of supplier SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests) and nonconformances.
- 6Document inspection results in reports, logs, and quality databases.
- 7Maintain a safe and compliant work environment following company and legal standards.
- 8Improve job knowledge through training and technical reading on aerospace standards.
Requirements8
- 11-2 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3U.S. citizenship or valid Permanent Resident status (due to defense work).
- 4Strong knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, and inspection methods.
- 5Proficient with measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and meters.
- 6Ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings and specifications.
- 7Competent in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- 8Must pass a visual acuity exam.
