Overview
You will own the estimating process for retail construction supply, from plan review to quote delivery, ensuring accuracy and speed. You'll coordinate with third-party estimators and internal detailers, using Rebar-CAD for light detailing. This role sits at the center of customer relationships, requiring clear communication and project ownership. Unlike typical estimator roles, you'll manage the full lifecycle, including logistics and shipment planning, in a hands-on environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Review customer plans and specs to define rebar requirements for each project.
- 2Coordinate with third-party estimators to obtain takeoffs and weights for accurate quotes.
- 3Prepare detailed quotes based on drawings, exclusions, and scope, ensuring clarity.
- 4Develop shipment quotes that align with job schedules and customer expectations.
- 5Manage Statements of Values (SOVs) for assigned projects.
- 6Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers, answering questions and clarifying scope.
- 7Build customer trust through responsive, precise communication from quote to delivery.
- 8Perform light rebar detailing with Rebar-CAD and review drawings for accuracy.
- 9Collaborate with detailers to ensure designs meet specifications and constructability.
- 10Track order flow from estimate through fabrication, coordinating staged shipments.
Requirements10
- 13+ years in construction estimating, rebar detailing, or related field.
- 2Working knowledge of Rebar-CAD software.
- 3Experience with SOULE software or similar industry tools.
- 4Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans.
- 5Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- 6Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- 7Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- 8Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- 9Familiarity with rebar cage fabrication and installation processes.
- 10Experience coordinating detailing and fabrication workflows.
Salary Insight
$60 - $67k per year
