Overview
The role integrates security practices directly into the software development lifecycle. This scientist builds and maintains secure CI/CD pipelines while implementing security controls throughout the software lifecycle. They ensure compliance with organizational security standards and enable project teams to adopt DevSecOps practices across workflows.

- 4Implement Security-as-Code and Policy-as-Code practices
- 5Create security gates blocking vulnerable code from production
- 6Configure and enforce network security policies
- 7Manage secrets securely using enterprise secret management solutions
- 8Hardening cloud environments including IAM roles and security groups
- 9Establish IaC approaches across project codebases
- 10Perform regular security scans and assess application dependencies
- 11Identify and remediate vulnerabilities
- 12Coordinate periodic security testing and automate compliance checks
- 13Maintain audit trails and documentation for security controls
- 14Support internal and external security audits
- 15Partner with development teams to promote secure coding practices
- 16Provide security guidance and training to engineers
- 17Help squads integrate DevSecOps practices into workflows
- 18Contribute to security policies and standards
- 19Participate in security incident response and investigations
- 20Support systems administration duties as needed

- 1Bachelor's degree in engineering or applied sciences
- 2Three years DevOps SRE or security engineering experience
