Overview
As an RBT in San Francisco, you will deliver 1:1 behavior support to children with autism or developmental delays through structured, play-based activities. You will implement behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs, collect data, and communicate with families. What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver 1:1 behavior support using RBT techniques in home or clinic settings, focusing on communication, social, and daily living skills.
- 2Implement behavior intervention plans created by BCBAs, adapting activities to each child's needs and interests.
- 3Collect and record accurate data on client progress during sessions, using data collection tools.
- 4Communicate regularly with families, providing updates on progress and strategies for home support.
- 5Participate in ongoing RBT supervision sessions, team meetings, and training to refine clinical skills.
- 6Build rapport with children and families, maintaining a positive and supportive environment.
- 7Collaborate with BCBA supervisors to adjust interventions based on client data and progress.
- 8Assist with daily living skills and play-based learning, integrating naturalistic teaching methods.
Requirements9
- 1Active RBT, ABAT, or BCAT certification required; new hires without certification must complete 40-hour RBT training before employment.
- 26+ months of experience working or volunteering with individuals with intellectual disabilities is required.
- 3High school diploma or equivalent; 18 years or older.
- 4Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance for travel between client homes.
- 5CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding).
- 6TB test (within 90 days), MMR and Varicella immunization, and pre-employment physical (within the past year).
- 7Pass a background check including FBI and DOJ clearance.
- 8Preferred: current student or graduate in Psychology, Education, Sociology, or related field.
- 9Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
