Overview

You will own 1:1 behavior support sessions for children with autism or developmental delays, building communication, social, and daily living skills through play-based activities. You will implement plans designed by BCBAs and track client progress with precision. The role spans in-home and in-clinic settings across Dixon, Suisun City, Vallejo, Vacaville, and Fairfield. You will receive full RBT training and certification sponsorship, with a clear path to advanced roles.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Deliver 1:1 behavior support through individualized, play-based activities that build communication, social, and daily living skills.
  • 2Implement behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs during 2-3 hour sessions in home, clinic, or school settings.
  • 3Collect and record client progress data accurately using ABA data collection methods.
  • 4Communicate with families to provide session updates and collaborate on child goals.
  • 5Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions with the Training Team and BCBAs.
  • 6Complete the 40-hour RBT training course prior to start date and obtain RBT certification within 6 months.
  • 7Adapt session activities to match the child's age and developmental level, from toddlers to teens.
  • 8Coordinate with the scheduling team to ensure caseload matches your availability and comfort with age groups.

Requirements10

  • 16 months experience working or volunteering with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • 2Complete a 40-hour RBT training course prior to employment (or provide equivalent certification: RBT, BCAT, ABAT).
  • 3Obtain RBT certification within 6 months of employment, maintaining active BCAT or ABAT as alternative.
  • 4High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years old.
  • 5Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
  • 6CPR & First Aid certification (or obtain during onboarding).
  • 7TB test (within 90 days), MMR & Varicella immunization, and pre-employment physical (within past year).
  • 8Pass FBI & DOJ background check.
  • 9Preferred: current student or graduate in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Biology, or related field.
  • 10Preferred: Spanish speaking ability.
